One Word: Next Step (Asking for your help)

First of all, I want to say thank you. Thank you for your comments. Thank you for your emails. Thank you for the texts. I truly felt community from this post. And that’s really what I’ve always wanted from this blog. I wanted to build an open, honest, supportive community.

I shed a few tears reading what some of you had written. I so appreciate your willingness to share yourself with me. It makes me feel better connected. Something I sometimes feel lacking in. (Connectedness.)

Anyway, here’s what I am thinking.

I am hoping I can convince a few of you to share not only your word, but the ‘why’ that accompanies your word with me via email. (There should be a link to my email at the bottom under “Follow Us”.)

And now is probably the perfect time for a little self disclosure…this is one of the ‘things’ holding me back from taking ACTION in my life. I am afraid of failing. Doing things ‘wrong’. I am hoping the link will take you to my email. If not. Let me know. I will learn from my failures!

If you want to remain anonymous, I will respect that. Want me to use your first name? I can do that as well. Want me to include your SS#? Nope. Not going to do that.

I would like to incorporate your words, your feelings, your goals into future posts so we can build a supportive community. I would like to use this blog as a platform for keeping this ONE WORD journey alive and moving forward in all of us.

I have so many kind, smart, insightful, faithful friends. Some I know personally. Some I haven’t seen for years, but we interact through social media. And some I know through interactions via the blog.

I would like to bring you all together.

I know I could use the support. I would love your insights and your wisdom. Sometimes it’s so hard to see things clearly from the inside looking out.

And for those of you nodding your head and smiling right now, thinking ah…I’ve got you figured out.

Yep. This post is representative of my word for 2019.

ACTION
