This morning, I woke without an alarm.
This morning, I’m lounging on the couch, watching GMA in my “jammies”.
This morning, I have not yet worked out.
This morning, I am relishing Lemon Goji Tea out of a mug.
This morning, I am writing for my blog.
I am loving this morning! And I know, had my week not been what it was, I would not be appreciating this morning quite so much.
This past week, my alarm had been waking me at 5 am.
This past week, I’d been getting dressed, blowdrying and straightening my hair, applying makeup, packing a lunch, feeding the dog, making breakfast, and tidying up the kitchen while listening to my good friends on GMA.
This past week, my run had been complete by 6:15 am.
This past week, my Lemon Goji Tea had been sipped out of a travel mug.
This past week, I’d been writing for the class I’m taking.
So this morning, I’m enjoying my change of pace, and recharging for next week, knowing that if this morning were every morning, I wouldn’t be appreciating it quite so much.
Lemon Goji Tea
1 cup of tea (I love green tea)
juice of 1/2 – 1 lemon
1-2 T. goji berries
liquid sweetener to taste (I use maple syrup or agave)
a few shakes of cayenne pepper
Combine all ingredients. Sip. Enjoy.
